If you saw Hotel Rwanda and wondered “How could the world sit by and let this happen?”, look around you. According to various reports, anywhere between 200,000 and 350,000 people have been slaughtered in systematic genocide in Sudan, and yet again the Western establishment is reluctant to acknowledge the genocide for what it is.

Take action.

Senator Paul Simon, who died in 2003, said after the Rwandan genocide, “If every member of the House and Senate had received 100 letters from people back home saying we have to do something about Rwanda, when the crisis was first developing, then I think the response would have been different.”

The U.N. Security Council voted unanimously on Thursday to authorize a 10,000-strong peacekeeping force for southern Sudan but remained deadlocked on any action for Darfur in the west.
