Since the the first USDA Food Pyramid came out in 1992, we’ve been building bigger Americans and better returns for the food industry. The percentage of Americans who are obese has increased from 23% to 31% - up from 15% in 1980. That’s a huge excess of food the Agribusiness economy has put on America’s table and equally huge profits for the corporations in charge of America’s food economy.
