Kompose is a great tool - just hit windows key + tab, and all of your windows shrink to become visible on the screen. It saves cycling through alt-tab when you have many windows open at once. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and it rocks.
If you’re running Debian or Ubuntu, it is available via apt-get.
