Craig Smith is street smart, yet spiritually driven. His goal is the integration of godly principles into our daily priorities, allowing the spiritual, business and personal side of life to all fall into God’s order. This perspective enables him tell the truth about money, stewardship and ethics.
I have a few questions for Dr. Dean and all the other liberals casting stones at the president:
* Have you forgotten that America is still at war? Are you unaware that our soldiers are in harm’s way?
* Are you oblivious to the fact that our brave soldiers were sent by the president and Congress – with the Democrats’ support?
* Don’t you understand the potential damage inflicted on this country by undermining the president with your unfounded assertions that he lied?…Americans today are struggling to choose sides in not only the great debate between Republican and Democrat, but more importantly in the fight between truth and lies. God gives us the discernment to find the truth – and then have the courage to stand up for it – even if it means holding our tongue during times of war. Remember: “Loose lips sink ships!”
Ironic it isn’t it? He’s not guilty of the original charge, yet in order to find that out, Libby allegedly obstructed justice to get there. In the end, nothing can stop the truth. The truth is Libby didn’t out the agent, he allegedly just lied about it. How poetic! Maybe the prosecutor wasn’t satisfied with Libby’s original position that he didn’t out the agent?
I conclude that until we come to a place in America where the truth is more important than who wins, leaks will continue. They’ll continue to destroy the confidence we have in our leaders because, at the end of the day, we’ll never know the truth on many issues. Therefore, we either trust those whom we have chosen to lead us or we don’t. If our leaders do lie to us, they will have to pay for their deeds. Maybe not in this world, but surely in the next.
Did you catch that? Let me reread it. A clear distinction must be made between THE LOVE of money and money itself. Let this truth sink deep into your spirit. God is not anti-money, or anti-wealth, He is anti-money WORSHIP. He has helped us to identify that moneylove (worship) is the root of all kinds of evil. In fact, as we have discussed before, God’s plan is that we are healthy, wealthy, and wise in this world — as a testimony of His greatness, power, and glory to come.
Craig Smith is inspirational, yet practical. For well over a decade now, Craig has researched the Biblical and Constitutional foundation of free market economics. He is driven by his vision of seeing Christian business people understand God’s principles. As a faithful giver for many years, Craig speaks with great authority about stewardship. According to Smith, “Because GOD is a businessman, we, like Jesus are to be about His business — bring an increase, and ultimately, filling the whole earth with the glory of God. This takes resources. God has access to everything and wants to turn it over to His children (to the degree that we can handle them righteously).” Smith tells pastors: “Have the courage to try posting the congregation’s tithing records in the church lobby… that ought to separate the men from the boys! God is not our waiter, He is not interested in tips, but rather, our obedience.”
Our whole modern banking system is patterned after the Babylonians and is based on the premise that God’s laws are not true. Therefore, bankers have the divine right to create credit as a money substitute. Sadly, most of us have given our consent to the Babylonian banking system — without understanding the consequences. Let me summarize:
* A continuing battle for the money and resources of the earth rages on between the godly and ungodly.
* Biblical money consists of substance, not symbolism.
* The best way to win the war for true money is to learn from history so we don’t repeat it. If you’ll write to me I will send you out a free copy of “Economic Solutions” to help your education.
I hope you will get a clearer picture why the Bible declares that gold & silver are honest and true money, which will always stand the test of time. Today silver and gold are considered archaic forms of money, given the modern trend toward abstract paper money and credit instruments. It would be wise to review some of the reasons that God’s Word declares that gold and silver are true wealth and the benefits they could offer Christians at the end of the 20th century…
1. Gold is good. In Gen. 2:12 God declares that gold is good because He created it…
2. Gold is tested by fire. I Cor. 3:12 tell us that the foundation and quality of our lives will be tested by fire. Notice gold and silver are simply purified by fire, but wood, hay, and stubble are consumed and loss if suffered. Need I say more?
3. Gold is a sign of power and blessing. Throughout history the ruling class has always sought to own gold and silver, because they represent purity and longevity…
4. Gold & Silver belong to God alone. Hag. 2:8 tells us that “the silver is mine and the gold is mine saith the Lord.” This cannot be said of man’s counterfeit credit instruments…
Gold is up 89 percent since 2001, and over 15 percent in 2005!
I expect the next phase of the ongoing bull market in gold will attract millions of Americans who want to understand why gold is becoming the best investment of the 21st century.
Thankfully, gold is still cheap, if you consider its true relationship to the falling value of the U.S. dollar over the last 25 years.
For example, gold’s price peak in 1980 was $850 an ounce then, but using inflation-adjusted numbers the same peak price would be $1,400 an ounce today!
So, with gold at $495 an ounce today – or even at $595 an ounce – it is still a “golden” buying opportunity.
