Install Internet Explorer On Linux

I found a script which’ll set up Internet Explorer on your Linux desktop. This is immensely useful if you are a web developer, and hate Windows. (The script is linked to from the official wine page for IE, so you can feel safe about it.)

Download, and instructions, are here

Once it’s done, you can type ie6 to run Internet Explorer (the script does not setup shortcuts in the menu…)

I’ve tested it myself over the week-end. It’s “working” so webdevs will have a good time testing their webpages. Still an other interesting reason to have IE on Linux at the moment is because of Flash 8 is supposed to be included (in my case it made IE crash).

Hey, yeah I was impressed that flash worked. I tested it on a few flash sites, and it seems pretty solid.

So much for “it can’t be seperated from the operating system”, huh.
